M.E.L.T.
with Marisa Duffy
I was born and raised in Brooklyn Heights, N.Y. where I went to school, worked and was married. I moved to Westchester in 1990 with my husband, have 2 girls, was a Girl Scout leader for 12 years, enjoy the arts, photography, crafting, cooking, and I have been a member of The Garden Club of Yorktown in which I am the coordinator of our annual Mother’s Day plant sale. I have been teaching in Westchester for all these years in clubs, small studios and privately. I am certified as a Group Fitness Instructor, Personal Trainer, and Pilate’s Instructor. I teach Pilates mat and apparatus privately, small group and in club environments. I teach a new cutting edge technique called M.E.L.T. which is a “self-help” treatment technique that helps prevent injury, can heal injuries faster, ease chronic pain and erase the negative effects of aging and active living by rehydrating connective tissue and quieting the nervous system.
I believe in whole body health, thoughtful, creative, fun exercises done with proper technique and form for efficiency and positive life- long results.
